Manage project issues
While your organisation likely has a more specific definition of issues, an issue is generally defined as something that has occurred and needs active management to control the overall impact that it will have on the project.
The key to ensuring that an issue is resolved, is assigning it to a responsible individual and actively managing the issue for closure based on a due date.
To manage project issues:
Creating a new issue item
- Ensure you have the appropriate project open.
- Click the Issues tab under the Tracking grouping tab.
- Click +New Issue.
- Fill in the Name field.
Important: It is mandatory and it should be clear and concise to help users identify the issue in screens, reports, and dashboards. Ensure that the Assigned To and Due Date fields are never blank for efficient tracking and reporting.
- Provide additional details in the remaining fields.
- Click Save and Close.
Updating issue items
- Ensure you have the appropriate project open.
- Click the Issues tab.
- Click on the Issue to be updated from the list.
- Update any field, as required.
- Click Save & Close.
