Generate and share the portfolio and program status report
There are two (2) status reports available in the Portfolios area, one that may be run directly from within the Portfolio or Program and another in Insights. At the end of the weekly tracking, we should review the reports and confirm that the program or portfolio status is accurate and complete then verify each of the reports that you and your stakeholders are using.
To generate and share the portfolio / program status report:
Generate and download the Portfolio / Program status report
- Select the Status Report tab within the portfolio or program record.
- If prompted, sign in using your work credentials. Otherwise, the muti-paginated report launches instantly.
- Select a format from the Export menu options and download a copy of your status report.
- Review the downloaded portfolio/program status report and validate that the status report delivers the appropriate message to the stakeholders.
Review and verify the Insights status report
- Select the Portfolio (or Program) Overview report from Portfolios > Leadership > Insights.
- Right-mouse click on the appropriate Portfolio (or Program).
- Select Drill-through > Portfolio (or Program) Status.
- Review the Overview sub-page to understand the KPIs for all sub-programs and sub-projects and their impact on the Portfolio (or Program).
- Review the Details sub-page to understand the status of all Portfolio (or Program) support items and their impact on the Portfolio (or Program).
- Review the Tracking sub-page to understand the status of support items for all sub-programs and sub-projects and their impact on the Portfolio (or Program).
- Review the Financials sub-page to understand the overall financial picture of the Portfolio (or Program) based on the rollup of the financials from all the sub-projects.
- Return to the Portfolio (or Program) Overview report and right-mouse click on the appropriate Portfolio (or Program).
- Select Drill-through > Project Milestones.
- Review the Sub Project Milestones sub-page to understand the status of all the project milestones and their impact on the Portfolio (or Program).
