Managing Delivery Initiatives

This provides an efficient way to manage all delivery initiatives, beginning with capturing ideas to address organisational challenges, where the best ones become proposals and eventually projects. Projects can then be grouped into programs and portfolios for strategic alignment.


  1. In the site map on the left, select Altus.
  2. Under Altus, you will see the following options:
    • Portfolios
    • Programs
    • Projects
    • Proposals
    • Ideas
    • Insights


What Each Section Does

  • Portfolios
    Represents the highest-level grouping of initiatives, aligning projects and programs with organisational strategy.
    Example: “Digital Transformation Portfolio” or “Customer Experience Portfolio.”
  • Programs
    Groups related projects together to deliver combined benefits and outcomes.
    Example: “CRM Upgrade Program” containing multiple projects like data migration and UI redesign.
  • Projects
    Individual initiatives that deliver specific outputs or deliverables.
    Example: “Mobile App Development Project.”
  • Proposals
    Captures formal requests for new projects or initiatives. These can be reviewed, accepted, or rejected based on governance workflows.
    Example: A proposal for “Implementing AI-driven customer support.”
  • Ideas
    Provides a space for innovation by allowing employees to submit creative solutions to organisational challenges.
    Example: An idea for “Gamifying the customer loyalty program.”
  • Insights
    Offers consolidated reporting across portfolios, programs, proposals, and ideas for better decision-making.
    Use Case: A dashboard showing proposal approval rates and portfolio performance.
