Overriding sell rates allows organisations to apply specific billing rates at the resource or project level instead of relying on a single global sell rate.

Sell rates are first set at the resource level to ensure revenue is accurately tracked where it is relevant. This establishes a consistent default rate for each billable resource.

At the project level, sell rates can be overridden to reflect negotiated client agreements. This ensures that project revenue is calculated using the agreed commercial terms, rather than the standard global or resource sell rate.

To override sell rates at the project level:
 

1. Ensure you are in the Projects area, click Projects in the Leadership section.
   
    
2. Select and edit the Project for which you wish create a Resource Sell Rate Override.
   
    
3. Ensure you are on the Resources grouping tab.
   
    
4. Ensure you are on the Override Sell Rates tab.
   
    
5. Select and edit an existing Override Sell Rate row or click New Resource Sell Rate to create a new entry.
   
    
6. Search for and select the Resource for whom you wish to create a Sell Rate Override.
   
    
7. Define the Sell Effective Date and Rate and click Save.
