Resources Overview
The Resources area provides a centralised way to manage workforce supply, demand, skills, and availability. It helps organisations plan capacity, allocate the right people to the right work, and make informed resourcing decisions using real‑time insights.
Navigating to Resources
- In the site map on the left, select Resources.
- Under Resources, you will see the following options:
- Resource Demand
- Resources (Bookable)
- Enterprise Calendars
- Availability Heatmap
- Timesheet Approvals
- Insights
What Each Section Does
Resource Demand
Captures and tracks the demand for resources needed to deliver work.
- Purpose: Fulfill current and future resource needs.
- Use Case: Identify shortages or surpluses of capacity across roles or time periods.
Resources
Provides a central register of all available resources.
- Purpose: Maintain a single source of truth for people and their key attributes.
- Example: View resource details such as primary role, rate cards, calendars, etc.
Enterprise Calendars
Defines organisational working calendars, including holidays and non‑working days.
- Purpose: Ensure availability and capacity calculations are accurate.
- Example: Public holidays, organisational shutdown periods, or regional calendars.
Availability Heatmap
Provides a visual representation of resource availability across time.
- Purpose: Quickly identify over‑allocated or under‑utilised resources.
- Description: A colour‑coded view showing resource capacity trends.
Timesheet Approvals
Supports the review and approval of submitted timesheets.
- Purpose: Ensure time tracking accuracy and governance.
- Use Case: Managers review and approve resource time entries.
Insights
Offers consolidated reporting and analytics across resource data.
- Purpose: Enable data‑driven resourcing decisions.
- Description: Dashboards showing demand vs capacity, utilisation trends, and availability insights.
