Update the statue of 'My Active Project Tasks' items
The My Active Project Tasks view allows users to review and update tasks assigned to them across projects. This view is particularly relevant for organisations that do not use timesheets or formal time tracking, providing a simple way to manage task progress and maintain visibility.
Tasks from external scheduling tools (e.g. Microsoft Project) may also appear in this view for visibility purposes.
Important Notes
- This feature assumes the user has access to the related project(s)
- Tasks created directly in Altus can be updated and maintained
- Tasks originating from external schedules (e.g. Microsoft Project):
- Are displayed for visibility only
- Are read-only and cannot be edited in Altus
- Must be updated in the source system
- Updates to % Complete should be aligned with the Project Manager or schedule owner to ensure consistency with the overall project plan
Accessing My Active Project Tasks
- Navigate to Work
- Select Tasks
- Open the My Active Project Tasks view
This view displays all active tasks assigned to you.
Updating a Task Status
To update the status of an Altus-managed task:
- Locate the task in the My Active Project Tasks list

Read-Only Tasks (External Schedules)
For tasks linked from external tools (e.g. Microsoft Project):
- The task can be viewed in Altus for context
- Fields such as Status, % Complete, dates, and progress are not editable
- Updates must be made directly in the external scheduling tool

- Status – Reflects the current progress of the task
- % Complete – Indicates how much work has been completed
